Happy hellos! I’m Lucie Luddington, the creative force and founder of Luddington Creative, and I’m beyond excited to finally introduce my agency to the world. For those who know me, you’ll understand why this launch is so special. It’s been a journey full of passion, hard work and lots of adventures along the way. This moment has been a long time in the making, and I’m so happy to be sharing it with you!

Without further ado, let’s see what I’ve been up to over the last few months and how I got here…

The path to Luddington Creative

After more than two decades as an agent, I know the creative arts world inside and out. I’ve had the pleasure of working with publishers, editors, illustrators and creators across the globe, building an extensive network and developing artists along the way. 

Following my redundancy in 2023, I gathered my thoughts, considered my strengths and determined my next steps. So, naturally, I decided to cross the Atlantic! Battling the high seas post-redundancy, I found myself in the midst of some literal storms, which felt quite fitting given the whirlwind I’d been through.

I then focused on giving folio reviews, but in May my world changed. One of my former artists passed away. One of the last things that they had said to me was “Luce, you must start an agency”. That was a moment of total clarity for me – a push to turn loss into purpose. From that spark, Luddington Creative was born: an agency built on resilience, passion, a deep love for artists and the worlds they create. A powerful reminder of what can happen when you turn challenges into new beginnings!

For months, I’ve been building a foundation for Luddington Creative based on my core values: craft, positivity, adaptability, honesty and encouragement. Every creator I represent has worked alongside me to refine their craft, and together, we’re here to make a mark in the industry, the Luddington way.

Representing talented artists from around the world

Luddington Creative showcases a roster of exceptional artists from around the globe, with talent pouring out from the UK, USA, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, Goa, Germany, Ireland and Italy. Each one brings a unique voice, style and perspective on the world, something they all capture so beautifully.

From emerging talents to seasoned illustrators, my artists span a range of styles and specialities. And it’s not just illustrators. I nurture some fantastically talented designers, animators and storytellers too! I’m thrilled and honoured to represent such a diverse group and look forward to matching their talents with projects that will inspire and delight.

For me, being an agent is more than just a career; it’s a way of life. It gives me a purpose that fuels everything I do and it’s what sets me apart. My work goes beyond connecting artists with clients – it’s all about fostering a creative environment where every soul feels inspired, supported, and valued.

Acting as a cheerleader, I’m dedicated to helping unlock true potential, push boundaries and bring unique visions to life. Luddington Creative is a trusted home for artists, a place where they know their work, dreams and aspirations are in safe hands. My ultimate aim is to inspire, encourage and allow any artist I encounter to be the best working version of themselves.

With every client relationship, I offer a bespoke service, working closely to understand their needs and pair them with artists that will help bring projects to life. My reputation is built on transparency, trust and an honest commitment to recommending the right artist for the job, making sure each collaboration is set for success.
