I am Isabel Tong (aka Isatisse) and I’m an author-illustrator! I’ve been drawing since I was a kid. I wanted to study something related to art and design when choosing my major at university. But then I ended up with economics. I took a 2-year diploma course in advertising design and then I started my first job as an Account Executive at Saatchi & Saatchi Hong Kong.
I got 2 awards in a fashion design contest. Then I got invited to a sportswear company to be a sportswear designer. After a few years, I went to Mattel and worked as a fashion doll designer. I took a part-time masters degree in Design Strategies.
I had a lot of my teachers and friends telling me to start my own business. Then I started to create my own illustration brand, making my own prints, products, picture books etc. I love to draw with very bold and vibrant colours, geometric shapes and compositions to create an energetic feel to my artworks. I hope I can share my art with everyone around the world.
